Discernment
Discernment is a process about pursuing what we call a “vocation.” The Catholic Church recognizes four distinct vocations in which a person can become holy and truly alive:
- single life
- married life
- consecrated life (brother or sister)
- priestly life
There is no perfect sign that God is calling you to be a priest, brother or sister. A religious vocation is a life journey of faith and trust. Listen
to your heart. If you feel being a priest or a brother someday brings you joy, then you should pursue this desire not tomorrow, next week or next year, but today.
